I'm going to be a blogger/vlogger!

You are going to get famous on the Internet!
(not really, of course. Everything stays private!)

You can choose what you want to do, but follow the steps. Put everything you create in the English OneNote. There is a page for every step.

Things to brainstorm about:

1: brainstorming

  • What are you going to blog/vlog about?

  • Where are you going to put your stories and/or videos?

  • How are you going to promote yourself?

  • Do you want a fancy new name?

  • Do you need a logo for your site?

  • How are you going to make money?

You can answer these questions, or make a mindmap.

Take a picture of your mindmap and add it to the OneNote on the Step 1 page

Things to brainstorm about:

2: Tips from the pros

  • Watch 3 clips / read 3 sites where other people give tips about blogging/vlogging.

  • Make a top 10 list with the best pieces of advice.

  • Do your typing on the Step 2 page in OneNote.

  • Make it look great!

3: Working on 'your brand'

You can't get famous without people knowing who you are! You need to promote yourself.

Let's start with a logo.

  • Find 3 logos that you really like, write down what you like about them.

  • Create your own.

  • Save the document as English Blog Logo

  • Add a picture of the logo to the OneNote on the Step 3 page.

  • Make it look beautiful!

4: Introduce yourself

Write a story / film a short clip in which you introduce yourself.
The clip should be at least 1,5 minutes. 2 minutes if you are a tto-student.

Write a script with the following info first. After that you can start filming!

  • Tell people who you are

  • What your next story will be about.

  • Show your logo

  • Tell them to like and subscribe.

  • Add the story or clip to the OneNote on the right page (4)

5: The First Vlog/Blog

It's time for the first real vlog/blog! Oh yeah!

The clip should be at least 2 minutes. 3 minutes if you are a tto-student.

  • Introduce yourself (again) 'hi guys, we're back'

  • Introduce the topic of your vlog. 'today, we're going to ....'

  • Vlog about whatever you want

  • Tell your viewers to like and subscribe.

  • Add the clip/story to the OneNote on page 5.

6: a Q&A

All the famous vloggers do Q&As (Questions and Answers)

The clip should be at least 1,5 minutes. 2 minutes if you are a tto-student.

  • Introduce yourself (again) 'hi guys, we're back'

  • Introduce the topic of your vlog. 'today, we're going to ....'

  • Add 10 questions and answers to your vlog

  • Tell your viewers to like and subscribe.

  • Add the clip/story to the OneNote on page 6

7: What is missing?

Is there anything your 'channel' needs? Try one of these things when you have got the time.

  • A contest / giveaway vlog/blog.

  • A top 5 tips for surviving year 1 at secondary school.

  • A 'how-to' video.

  • A review of your favourite game/movie/book/etc?

  • Something else... it's up to you!
